| Tour packages are generally divided into several categories of travel arrangement:
Free Independent Travel (FIT)
- Also known as free and easy travel. These packages normally include:
- Air passage on stipulated airlines
- Accommodation
- Return transportation between airport and hotel
Sometimes, the packages may include a city tour where the tour coach will drive through the business hub/city of the destination for an orientation.
Generally, the packages exclude visits to places of attraction.
- FIT tours are suited to travellers who:
- are meeting up with friends at destination
- wish to do as they please without having to follow a schedule
- simply wish to revisit and explore the destination
Group Inclusive Tour (GIT)
Also known as tour group packages.
- These packages normally include:
- Air passage on stipulated airlines
- Class of accommodation as indicated in the tour itinerary/brochure
- Transportation throughout the journey of the tour
- Meals as specified in the tour itinerary
- Entrance into the various places of attraction as indicated in the tour itinerary
A minimum group size must first be met before the travel arrangements may be confirmed and tour package materializes. Generally, travel agents will advise confirmation two weeks prior to departure.
- GIT packages are suited for travellers who:
- Enjoy vacationing with a group of people
- Prefer to have their daily activities pre-arranged and taken care of
