The 3^rd annual Vivid Sydney festival – the largest celebration of light, music and ideas in the region – launched on 27^th May this year, kicking off with the illumination of over 40 light installations at an outdoor exhibition featuring interactive and low-energy light art displays created by an international team of artists from countries including Germany, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

Thousands gathered at Sydney Harbor to catch the lighting of the iconic Sydney Opera House sails, in the first showing of “Lighting the Sails”, a spectacular light show created by French design team SUPERBIEN, as well as the FireDance, the largest ever fire performance in Australia.
